the Restaurant

One cuisine, one ambiance, one tasteful location.

The Cuisine

"The cuisine of Restaurant DUE SPADE passionately and authentically tells the story of the territory. Dishes such as fresh pasta, tripe, risottos, Lombardian mountain cheeses, and farmyard animals, including pigeon prepared in three cooking methods, offer an experience that is sometimes soft, sometimes crispy, while maintaining a zero-waste philosophy."

Fish, a passion of the Di Bari family, takes center stage with local classics like Sicilian tuna fillet and red prawn tartare.

Among the Chef's many attentions are always new amuse-bouches, artisanal bread, spicy oil made with personally grown peppers from the garden, and caramelized Sicilian almonds in a pan, served with coffee. Every detail is designed to offer an unforgettable culinary experience, full of energy and innovation.

A gourmet journey blending tradition and innovation, where a young and passionate team transforms each dish into a surprising taste experience.

The Ambiance

DUE SPADE unfolds evocatively around the chimney of the historic Filanda Gavazzi, offering 70 seats spread between the indoor dining area and the veranda. The welcoming and refined atmosphere is perfect for convivial moments with family or friends.

The young front-of-house and kitchen staff, with their energy and dedication, combine the enthusiasm of the new generations with the teachings of the masters. The result is high-quality dining that makes Restaurant DUE SPADE a must-visit destination for those seeking a top-notch culinary experience.

The Location

The aroma of the kitchen seems to emerge from the fireplace of the kiln adjacent to the historic Filanda Gavazzi, where silk cocoons were once processed.

Cernusco sul Naviglio was an important center for the production and distribution of silk cocoons from the Contado Martesana. With seven operational silk mills, the city was a hub of the silk industry. In the 19th century, a significant portion of Cernusco's population was employed in the processing, weaving, twisting, and spinning of local silk. (S. ZANINELLI, The prevalence of silk production among rural industries, in History of Monza and Brianza, Milan 1969)

Today, Restaurant DUE SPADE offers a taste experience that honors the past: gourmet dishes that intelligently and creatively renew the history of these places.
